For Mr. and Mrs. Hanlan’s first project, they asked for PBT’s help and assistance in finding the right heat pump for their property near Stratford-upon-Avon. They chose to embark on this project after their children had moved out as they wanted to downsize and find a smaller home for just the two of them. For this, they wanted an efficient heating solution that fitted their needs.
Choosing the Right Heat Pump for the Project
After gaining an understanding of the couple’s needs and the property itself, our expert and friendly team helped them to discover which heat pump would work best. Originally, the Stiebel Eltron WPL17 Air Source Heat Pump was recommended for their project.
However, a new unit was released which provided higher efficiencies and flow temperatures comparable to current gas or oil boilers of 75°C. This new unit was the Stiebel Eltron WPL-A 07 Air Source Pump which was the one that was chosen due to its compatibility with the Hanlan’s requirements.

As well as providing advice and guidance when choosing the heat pump, we worked together with Heat & Energy Project Management to provide professional installation of the MVHR unit they required.
Our PBT engineers also provided all the heating, electrics and plumbing to include 3 bathrooms, utility room and kitchen.
