Why were PBT installations chosen?
PBT Installations were recommended to George Moorey by another customer, and he first contacted us in 2021. He was building a house supplied by Scandia-Hus. Scandia-Hus is a timber frame company, which marries all the benefits of advanced Swedish technology with British architectural style and craftsmanship. Scandia-Hus were supplying, amongst other things, a sustainable timber frame, excellent insulation and triple glazed windows.
Choosing the Right heat pump for the project
As part of his package from Scandia-Hus, George also asked them to supply underfloor heating and a Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) system, so that the house would get a steady flow of fresh air without losing any of the heat.
George contacted PBT Installations to ask us to design and install a heat pump system that would suit the house, providing an efficient level of heating, economically and sustainably.
We recommended a Stiebel Eltron WPL-a-07 along with a HSBC 200GB hot water cylinder and buffer tank. Stiebel Eltron are our preferred heat pump providers. The company was established over 100 years ago and their cutting edge, German-engineered designs are at the forefront of the industry.
How did PBT INStallations help?
Once we were involved with the project, George decided to ask us to broaden our involvement with his build and install not only the heat pump, but lay the underfloor heating, put in all the hot and cold water and waste pipework as well as install the MVHR system.
