• When a new boiler or heat pump is installed, a system flush should be performed. System flushing removes any debris, sludge and build up from the radiators meaning that the system should work more efficiently. Most manufacturers require a system flush to comply with warranty.
• Many manufacturers offer additional warranty for those installing filters at the same time as installing a new boiler or heat pump. A filter will help reduce build up and these should be checked as part of your annual service. If your system does not have a filter fitted we would recommend having one.
• Our PBT Engineer will check your filter at every annual service. This will give us an indication of the cleanliness of the heating system. Based on this, we can recommend cleaning, flushing, or dosing with chemicals. Maintaining the cleanliness of your heating system optimises its life and provides continued efficiency.
