Heating, Cooling and Ventilation Systems

Having installed heat pumps for well over a decade, heating and cooling systems are integral to our business. Heat pumps provide the heat source, but how that heat gets circulated through your rooms is just as important.

We recommend, design and install cutting edge technologies to provide the most efficient and economic comfort, in any method that suits you. We can install any of the following as individual technologies or as part of a wide energy system.

–Air Conditioning

-Duct-based central air distribution systems

-MVHR

-Fan assisted radiators

-Underfloor heating

Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating is the perfect complement to a heat pump installation as the larger surface area of underfloor heating helps to spread heat evenly across the room at the lower temperatures provided by a heat pump.

PBT installations currently chooses to install ROTH underfloor heating as a preference. Roth has been manufacturing wet underfloor heating systems for more than 40 years and development is ongoing. The underfloor heating systems are mainly manufactured in Germany, which guarantees German accuracy and quality.

With global warming increasing and heatwaves occurring more frequently, home owners across the British Isles are concerning themselves not only with how best to heat their houses, but  how to cool them too. Air conditioning is perfect for garden rooms, home offices and commercial buildings like shop fronts and cafes.

Improved standards of insulation make a big difference in helping to keep properties cool, but with temperatures regularly soaring, more people are looking into air conditioning. Not only do they cool a space, but air conditioning units also use allergy filters and a dehumidifier to help slow the reproduction of dust mites, a major concern for those who suffer with common allergies.

Whilst air conditioners run on electricity, it is possible to choose an energy supplier who generates 100% green energy from renewable sources. Alternatively, a homeowner can choose to install Solar PV to generate their own energy to offset the impact of running air conditioning.

The goverment currently offer 0% Vat on the installation of air conditioning and heat pumps which means it’s a great time to invest.

We currently install Toshiba air conditioning units as we believe they are well priced, offer a good product and excellent customer service.

MVHR

A Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) system is a type of ventilation commonly used in energy-efficient or low-energy homes and buildings to provide fresh air while optimising energy usage.

It works by extracting stale, humid air from areas like kitchens and bathrooms and bringing in fresh air from outside. At the same time, it recovers any heat from the outgoing air and uses it to warm the incoming fresh air. This helps reduce the need for additional heating, making the system energy efficient.

Duct-based central air distribution systems

These systems are pretty groundbreaking, and at PBT Installations, we believe that they will be integral in every modern house before too long. In conjunction with your heat pump, they use a series of unobtrusive ducts that connect each room, providing heating, cooling and air purification. Essentially, when designed and installed as part of a complete system, this technology provides a three-in-one solution.

Invisible.AC is a world leader in superior high-specification, energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions. Using the company’s innovative Small Duct High Velocity (SDHV) technology, Invisible.AC provides a fully integrated single system for air conditioning, heating, ventilation and air purification.
