Heat Pumps for Professionals
Whether you are a builder or an architect, developer or project manager, a heat pump can be installed in your project. By choosing PBT and our recommended heat pumps, you can assure your clients of this reliable investment and technology that will support their environmentally aware property. It has the ability to link with other renewable technologies, such as MVHR, electrics and solar PV panels, and we can recommend our own trusted partners to advise you regarding these ecological solutions.
At PBT Renewables, we offer a full-service for every client and every project, including installation of heat pumps and renewable technologies. We are involved from the start, so we can make sure the heat pump and heating system are incorporated seamlessly to maximise potential and economy. By taking responsibility for full designs, drawings, schematics and heat loss calculations, we completely understand your project requirements and vision and can recommend the best solutions to achieve your goals. Our FAQs below cover these topics in more detail and contact us today to find out even more information.

Benefits of Heat Pumps for Professionals
- Cost-Effective: Lower running costs mean you can save thousands per year compared with a fossil fuel boiler.
- Eco-Friendly: Lower energy consumption and no emissions means heat pumps are far better for the environment.
- Low Maintenance: An annual check-up and an inspection every 3-5 years in the only maintenance required.
- Long Lifespan: A good quality, correctly installed heat pump can last more than 25 years!
- Safe: A heat pump eliminates the need for gas, gas pipes and oil tanks.
- Multi-Functional: Many heat pumps can also provide cooling for your home in the hotter months
- Optimised: A heating system designed around the heat source provides maximum comfort and economy
- Less Disruption: Ground source pumps can be accommodated at the build stage, so there is no undue disruption through digging up of gardens, etc.
Frequently Asked Questions
At what stage should we involve you in a project?
As early as possible, ideally at design stage. That way the heat pump location, plant room, pipework and heat emitters are planned in from the start rather than worked around later.
Can you provide designs and heat loss calculations?
Yes. We take responsibility for full designs, drawings, schematics and room-by-room heat loss calculations, so the heating system is incorporated seamlessly into your project.
Do you work on new builds as well as renovations?
Yes. We work on new builds, self-builds, conversions and renovations, for architects, developers, builders and project managers.
Will you work alongside other trades on site?
Yes. We work directly with project managers, builders and other trades, and plan our work around your programme so the installation runs smoothly.
Who handles MCS certification and grants?
We do. We’re MCS-certified (26427), register the installation on completion and, where your client is eligible, apply for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant on their behalf. New builds still under construction generally can’t claim the grant, and we’ll advise on eligibility early.
Can you install solar, batteries and ventilation too?
Yes. We design and install heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage, energy management and ventilation together as one whole-home system, with a single point of contact for your project.
