George was building a house using Scandia Hus technology. Scandia Hus is a Swedish born Timber frame company who specialize in creating houses with triple glazing and excellent, air tight insulation.
Choosing the Right Heat Pump for the Project
George was keen to install a heat pump in his new built property and being aware of Scandia Hus properties, we knew this would be an excellent use of the technology. George also decided to install underfloor heating and MVHR (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery), meaning that the house would get a steady flow of fresh air without losing any of the heat. These were provided by Scandia Hus, and PBT Installations installed these along with the heat pump and the main pipework for the property.
How Did PBT Installations Help?
We opted for a Stiebel Electron pump WPL-a-07 which provides heating in winter and cooling in summer. We installed this along with a HSBC 200GB (a hot water cylinder and buffer tank combined) which coupled with Scandia Hus technology should keep the house running efficiently.
